BEIJING,Jan.27(Xinhua)--ThesalesrevenueofChina"sconsumption-relatedsectorsduringtheweeklongSpringFestivalholidaywentup12.2percentfromlastyear,taxdatashowedFriday.
Thesalesrevenuesawanaverageannualgrowthof12.4percentduringtheperiodcomparedwiththeSpringFestivalholidayin2019,thepre-COVID-19period,accordingtothevalue-addedtaxdatareleasedbytheStateTaxationAdministration.
Therecoveryoftourismandaccommodationserviceswasaccelerated.Thesalesrevenueoftravelagenciesandrelatedservicessurged130percentduringtheholidayfromthepreviousSpringFestivalbreak,recoveringto80.7percentoftheSpringFestivalholidayin2019,thedatashowed.
Touristhotelsandhotelchainssawtheirsalesrevenueincreaseby16.4percentand30.6percentrespectivelyfromlastyear,showedthedata.
Meanwhile,consumptionofdailynecessitiesmaintainedsteadygrowth,withsalesrevenueofbasiclivingcommoditiessuchasgrain,oilandfoodincreasedby31.5percentfromthepreviousSpringFestival.
TheSpringFestivalholiday,whichbeganonJan.21thisyear,isthebiggestoccasionforfamilyreunionsandheraldsthebeginningofspring.
