Chen,fromInnerMongoliaAutonomousRegion,arrivedinTürkiyeonThursdayafternoontogetherwiththethirdbatchofmembersoftheBlueSkyRescueTeam.
LocalresidentsexpressedtheirgratitudetotheChineserescueteamwhentheylandedattheIstanbulairport.“AlocalTurksaidChinaisagreatcountry.Thankyouforyoursupportandkindcontribution.Ihopeyouareallsafe,”Chenrecalled.
AccordingtoChen,nearly300peoplefromtheBlueSkyRescueTeamhavejoinedrescueeffortsatpresent.Andanother108membershavebeendispatchedtoTürkiyeonFridayandSunday,localtime.
"FromThursdaytoSaturday,theBlueSkyRescueTeamhassearched25buildingsand133workplaces,rescuing28trappedpeople,butonlytwosurvivedthedisaster,”saidChen,whoacceptedashortinterviewduringthebreak,andthenreturnedtohermission.
LocalcarehasmotivatedtheChineserescuersinthecoldTurkishweather.“Residentslitafireforrescuersbytheroadsideandsharedtheirbreadwithus,”saidChen.
“Thestrengthofonepersonisweak,butthestrengthofagroupofpeopleisstrong,”sheadded.
OfficialdatashowsthatstrongquakesjoltedTürkiyelastMondayhavebroughtthetotalfatalitiesinthecountryandneighboringSyriatoover33,000.
