ThetwopresidentspledgedtoenhancecomprehensivecooperationbetweenChinaandIran,whilehailingthecountries"traditionalfriendshipandthesounddevelopmentofbilateralties.

Theyagreedthatthetwocountriesshouldsupporteachotheronissuesconcerningtheirowncoreinterests,strengthencommunicationoninternationalandregionalaffairsandjointlyopposehegemonyandbullying.

Duringthetalks,Xisaidthatamidtheprofoundchangesintheinternationalsituation,ChinaandIranhaveconstantlyconsolidatedtheirstrategicmutualtrustandsteadilyadvancedpragmaticco­operation.Theyhavepromotedtheircommoninterestsandupheldinternationalfairnessandjustice,writinganewchapterforChina-Iranfriendship,headded.

ChinasupportsIraninsafeguardingitssovereignty,independence,territorialintegrityandnationaldignityaswellasresistingunilateralismandhegemony,andopposesattemptsbyexternalforcestointerfereinIran"sdomesticaffairsandundermineitssecurityandstability,Xisaid.

HeexpressedChina"swillingnesstoimplementtheagreementontheChina-Irancomprehensivecooperationplan,whichwassignedbythetwocountriesinMarch2021,anddeepenpragmaticcooperationintrade,agriculture,industryandinfrastructure.

ChinastandsreadytocontinuepromotingthejointbuildingoftheBeltandRoadwithIrantoenhancemutualconnectivity,andthecountryiswillingtoincreaseimportsofhigh-qualityIranianagriculturalproduce,Xisaid.

HehighlightedtheimportanceofstabilityintheMiddleEast,sayingthatupholdingstabilitymatterstothewell-beingofthecountriesandpeopleintheregionandalsohasgreatrelevancetoworldpeace,globaleconomicdevelopmentandthestabilityofenergysupplies.

NotingthatChinaappreciatesIran"swillingnesstoactivelyimproverelationswithneighboringcountries,XisaidthatChinasupportscountriesintheregioninresolvingtheirdifferencesthroughdialogueandconsultationtorealizegoodneighborliness.

ChinawillcontinuetoparticipateinthenegotiationsonresumingtheimplementationoftheJointComprehensivePlanofActionontheIrannuclearissue,supportIraninupholdingitslegitimateandlawfulrightsandinterests,andadvancethepropersettlementoftheIrannuclearissueatanearlydate,hesaid.

RaisisaidthatIran-Chinarelationsarebasedonthespiritofmutualrespect,andthetwocountiesaresincerestrategicpartnerswhotrusteachother.

IranremainsfirmlycommittedtodeepeningandimprovingthecomprehensivestrategicpartnershipwithChina,anditsresolveinthisregardwillnotbeaffectedbyanychangeintheinternationalandregionalsituations,saidtheIranianpresident.

HesaidheappreciatedChina"sassistanceinfightingCOVID-19anditsimpartialpositionontheIrannuclearissue,andsaidthatIranfirmlysupportsandwillactivelyparticipateintheChina-proposedBeltandRoadInitiative,theGlobalDevelopmentInitiativeandtheGlobalSecurityInitiative.

TheIranianpresidentassuredXithatIranresolutelysupportsChinainupholdingitsnationalsovereigntyandterritorialintegrity,andstandsreadytoworkwithChinainupholdingregionalandglobalpeaceandsecurity.
