MANILA,June4(Xinhua)--TheRegionalComprehensiveEconomicPartnership(RCEP)entersintoforceforthePhilippinesonFriday,officiallyallowingtheSoutheastAsiancountrytoparticipateintheworld"sbiggestfreetradeagreement.
AlfredoPascual,PhilippinesecretaryofTradeandIndustry,saidtheSoutheastAsiancountrywillencouragethebusinesssectortofullytapintothepotentialsoftheRCEP.

HesaidhelooksforwardtomoreinvestmentsinhisprovincefromChina.
TheRCEPagreement,signedby15Asia-Pacificcountries,enteredintoforceonthefirstdayof2022.
ThePhilippineswasthelastcountrytoratifythedeal,whicheasesmarketaccesstocountriesincludingASEANmembers,China,Japan,SouthKorea,Australia,andNewZealand.
